Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Dean of Information Technology to provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership for a College of Information Technology at a leading university in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Dean will oversee academic programs, faculty performance, research, accreditation, student success, and the overall development of the College. The role will ensure that IT programs maintain high academic standards while evolving in line with the University's strategic objectives, technological developments, and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and academic leadership for the College of Information Technology and its academic programs.

• Develop and implement academic strategies aligned with the University's vision and strategic objectives.

• Oversee curriculum development, program quality, and continuous academic improvement.

• Lead faculty recruitment, performance management, development, and succession planning.

• Ensure compliance with relevant accreditation, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.

• Promote research, innovation, and academic excellence across the College.

• Build partnerships and strengthen collaboration with the technology industry and professional organizations.

• Enhance student experience, academic outcomes, and graduate employability.

• Monitor academic performance and implement initiatives to improve teaching and learning outcomes.

• Oversee the College's budget, resources, facilities, and academic operations.

• Support the introduction of new programs and initiatives in response to emerging technology trends and market needs.

• Represent the College in university committees, external academic forums, industry engagements, and professional events.

• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing academic environment.

Ideal Candidate

• Senior academic and/or academic leadership experience within Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Strong understanding of higher education operations, academic governance, and quality assurance.

• Experience leading academic programs, faculty teams, and institutional initiatives.

• Strong knowledge of accreditation and academic quality standards.

• Demonstrated ability to develop academic strategies and drive institutional improvement.

• Strong research, innovation, and industry engagement capabilities.

• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder-management, and decision-making skills.
