Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Date Palm Farm Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of a date palm plantation. The role will be responsible for palm health, irrigation and fertigation, pruning, pollination, pest and disease control, harvesting, and supervision of farm workers.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in date palm cultivation and plantation management.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily date palm farming and plantation activities.
Monitor palm health, growth, and overall plantation condition.
Oversee irrigation, fertigation, fertilization, pruning, pollination, and harvesting.
Monitor fruit development, yield, and quality throughout the season.
Supervise pest and disease control activities.
Monitor soil conditions and coordinate irrigation and fertigation requirements.
Ensure proper pruning, cleaning, thinning, and general palm maintenance.
Supervise farm workers and allocate daily tasks.
Maintain records of farming activities, irrigation, fertilizers, treatments, and production.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of agricultural tools and equipment.
Follow agricultural, safety, and quality standards.
Coordinate with farm management to meet production and quality targets.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field.
3–7 years of experience in date palm farming or agricultural operations.
Strong hands-on knowledge of date palm cultivation and plantation management.
Practical experience in irrigation, fertigation, fertilization, pruning, pollination, and harvesting.
Experience in pest and disease management.
Experience supervising farm workers and daily agricultural activities.
Good knowledge of date palm varieties, seasonal cultivation practices, and harvesting.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Saudi/GCC agricultural experience is preferred.
English required; Arabic is an advantage.
