About the Role

Our team is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong construction industry experience to take ownership of project commercial and cost management activities.

The role will involve managing project budgets, evaluating costs, supporting contract administration, and working with internal and external stakeholders to minimize financial risk and maximize cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quantity surveying and commercial management activities throughout the project lifecycle

• Develop project estimates, budgets, cost plans, and forecasts

• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contractual requirements

• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids and support commercial negotiations

• Monitor actual project costs against budgets and identify potential overruns

• Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and commercial dashboards

• Manage variations, claims, valuations, and other commercial submissions

• Assess the financial impact of design or scope changes and recommend cost-effective alternatives

• Conduct regular site visits to verify work progress, quantities, and project costs

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for contracts, costs, variations, and claims

• Identify commercial risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies

• Provide commercial input into project planning and decision-making

• Monitor construction market conditions and changes in material and labor costs

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline

• 10+ years of quantity surveying experience in the construction sector

• Experience managing commercial aspects of large-scale construction projects

• Saudi/GCC construction experience is highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, estimation, and project controls

• Hands-on experience with variations, claims, valuations, and subcontractor negotiations

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail

• Confident communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant quantity surveying/commercial tools

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under project deadlines

• Experience with precast/pre-stressed concrete projects will be considered an advantage
