QA/QC Officer
About the Role
You will own day-to-day QA/QC control on site in Musqat, ensuring inspections, records and close-out evidence meet project and client requirements. The role centres on managing ITP execution, raising and tracking inspection requests, and driving NCR and corrective action workflows through to closure. You will work closely with site teams and external parties to plan hold points, witness points and acceptance criteria, and to maintain a clear, auditable quality trail. Your work will directly affect handover readiness, rework levels and audit outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute QA/QC inspections in line with approved ITPs, method statements and project specifications.
Raise, submit and track inspection requests to internal stakeholders and third parties, ensuring timely witnessing at hold points.
Review material delivery documentation, certificates and traceability records, confirming compliance before use on site.
Maintain complete QA/QC documentation packs, including checklists, inspection reports, test results and handover evidence.
Issue NCRs for non-conforming work or materials, clearly describing the issue, location, evidence and required disposition.
Drive corrective actions through root cause review with site teams, verifying effectiveness and closing actions with evidence.
Conduct quality audits and surveillance activities against the QMS and site procedures, recording findings and follow-up actions.
Monitor ITP status across work fronts, reporting progress, outstanding inspections and constraints affecting quality close-out.
Coordinate with construction supervisors to sequence inspections around programme needs while protecting required quality controls.
Support preparation for client and third-party audits by ensuring records are current, controlled and readily retrievable.
Qualifications
10+ years of QA/QC experience supporting site-based delivery on live projects.
Proven hands-on capability in QA/QC inspections and documentation from execution through to handover packs.
Working knowledge of ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), including hold points, witness points and acceptance criteria.
Experience raising and managing inspection requests through approval or rejection cycles with the relevant parties.
Experience issuing NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and managing corrective actions through to verified closure.
Experience planning or conducting quality audits against project procedures or a Quality Management System.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements as applied to site delivery documentation and audit readiness.
